About Using What Should I do if your phone still doesn't work after purchase offline and trying to do start-up procedure?

It sometimes happens that your phone still is not working after trying to do start-up procedure due to not being connected our wireless Network. In advance, you will have to request your device details information so that we will register yours info to the network management system.


Requests Procedures is as below.  
Step 1 : Open the browser 

Step 2 : Visit our website: http:// www.egsimcard.co.kr

Step 3 : Tap  My account > Check Phone Number. 
(1) Enter phone number on the sim card envelope.

(2) Tap the ‘here’ at the network (Trouble shoot wireless problem)

(3) Enter last 3digits serial no. on the sim card label.

(except character “F”) 

 

Step 4 : Fill in the application form.
(1) Enter IMEi and Wi-Fi Mac address and phone model name

(2) Tap the Register button

Step 5: We will register your device details information requested above within business hours below.
(1) It is processing time only less than 10 minutes.
(2) Business hours for registering device details information
       - Monday to Friday : 9:00 ~ 22:00
       - Weekend & Holidays : 9:00 ~ 18:00
(3) We will process your application after 09:00 next day if you submit your request after our business hours. 

Step 6: Reboots your phone if the procedures is completed.

- You may get some message or pop-up and so on if connected to the network signal and then reboots your phone.     

- System will send an email to you if the registration successful.

You may track the progress of this application by accessing onto www.egsimcard.co.kr ,

(1)   Click Home > My Account > Check phone number.

(2)   Enter your phone number. (omit “-“)

(3)   Click “here” at Network (the troubleshoot wireless problem).

(4)   Enter your sim number last 3 digits.

(5)   You can check if your application completed or not.

About Purchasing What Should I do if sim card still does not work after trying to do start-up procedure?

Sometimes happens that your phone is not able to connect our 3G network because of sim card recognition issues. It is business as usual for us. To use immediately, we will have to register your device to connect 3G network forcefully. Let us know your device details info below.

You can get these details in the setting apps on your own phone. You can get the Model name, IMEI, MAC address of your Phone by following these steps:

 

For Android phone

1. Tap on Settings.

2. Tap About Device (Android Phones may say About Phone).

3. Tap Hardware Information.

4. Scroll down to  Wi-Fi MAC Address, IMEI, model name.

 

For iOS phone 

1. Tap on Settings

2. Tap on General

3. Navigate to and tap on About

4. Scroll down to  Wi-Fi MAC Address, IMEI, model name.

(1) Airplane mode off
- Tap Settings > Airplane mode, then turn airplane mode off.
(2) Wi-Fi mode off
- Tap Settings > Wi-Fi, then turn Wi-Fi off.  

(3) Power down,

(4) Replace into EG sim card  

(5) Power on

(6) Do setting APN below.(Access Point Name)

(1) Press the Menu key, Tap Settings, Tap Wireless & networks, Tap Mobile networks

(2)Tap Access Point Names, Tap New APN

(3)Tap Name then tap the text box and enter EGM then tap OK

(4)Tap APN then tap the text box and

enter alwayson.ktfwing.com then tap OK

(5)Tap MMSC then tap the text box and enter  http://mmsc.ktfwing.com:9082 then tap OK

(6)Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 450 then tap OK

(7)Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 08 then tap OK

(8) Please keep in mind that do not change the rest of other settings.

(9)Press the Menu key, Tap Save, Tap new added APN, Press reset to default. 

(10) Power down and up to start up EG SIM card service.

 

For iphone : 

How To Edit APN Cellular Data Network on iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS running iOS 4.x, iOS 5.x and iOS 6

     

(1) Open your iPhone, connect to a WiFi network.

(2) Launch the following website from Safari web browser. 

http://www.unlockit.co.nz   :  Please do on your own phone ! 

(3) Tap below on Create APN

(4) Choose your Country and Carrier and then tap Create Profile. (Carrier : KT) as you see on the above screenshot

(5) Tap Install and confirm installation.

(6) Reboot your iPhone and youre done!

 

If you tend to remove your this profile, 

   go to Settings General scroll down and 

   you will see Profile: APN Carrier Settings. Tap on Remove.

(7) Thats it.

 

About Purchasing How do I know if my sim card activated after applying for sim card activation ?

You will get SMS included balance and expiry date if the sim card is activated. Sometimes you could not receive a SMS if your phone can not connect our 3G network even though the activation is successful. In that case, you might check it via our webpage as follows.

It is possible to use both data and call and message with only EG SIM Card that you bought at the selling points without extra payment. You have only to transfer data with your remaining voice balance in your account through our Apps or webpages.

Step 2: Select Home > Your account > Apply for / terminate data service.

Step 3: Select items of data plan, such as 500MB, 1GB.

Step 4: Tap OK button to complete top-up transaction.

Step 5: Upon successful top up, you will receive a SMS notification on your data balance and expiry date.

About Purchasing How do I activate a EG Sim Card when buying at the offline?

You should activate it before use in your phone under connected wifi zone or in desktop when you buy the EG sim card at those selling points.

Step 1 : Open the browser

Step 3: Read and agree the Service Terms and Conditions.

Step 4 : Fill in the order form.

(3) Enter email.

About Purchasing Will I purchase a EG SIM Card at selling points directly?
* Please note that one person can use one simcard ONLY.

* Koreans, dual nationality holders including Korean nationality, Seamen, flight attendants, US Army soldiers in Korea not able to use EG simcards.

And even if you"re an overseas passport holder, but if you have an Alien Registration Card or Residence Report Card of Oversea Koreans issued by Korean Government, you cannot use EG simcard but EG CARD at our head office in

3. How to apply for a data plan

*  You cannot recharge your data directly. Instead, you can only use data plan by transferring your voice balance through our apps or website.  
In that case, some money will be deducted from your voice balance to data.

* Notes
- Data is available for 30 days only from the date you top it up.
- Please note that even if there is data, you cannot use your data temporarily if your voice balance comes to zero. Don"t make your voice balance comes to zero. But if you recharge your voice balance again, you can use your data again.
- You can top up new data after finishing your data. When there is data if you top up new data, your remaining data will be gone. New data won"t be added to the existing data.

Step 2: Select Home > Your account > Apply for / terminate data service.

Step 3: Select items of data plan, such as 500MB, 1GB.

About Purchasing What is the difference between online and offline shop ?

* If you buy EG simcard via online,  you can pick it up at a Pick up place or receive it at a designated address by local delivery service. 

* If you buy it via online, you don"t need to activate it by yourself. It will be handed to you after activation. Just put your simcard into your phone and restart your phone 3-4 times with wifi off, data roaming off, data network on.

But if you buy it at offline, you need to activate it by yourself through m.egsimcard.co.kr. And apart from uploading the copy of passport, you need to restart your phone 3-4 times with wifi off, data roaming off, data network on after putting your simcard into the phone.

* One of the differences between online and offline is business hours in Pick up places and selling points. Especially, when you arrive in airport so early or late, you can
t collect EG Sim card at Pick up places but you will have to buy it at specific selling points directly.

About Purchasing How do I use International Delivery Service when ordering online ?

When you buy online with using your global credit card at least 7 days before, you can get a EG SIM card at your staying address in countries below by EMS which is an international postal Express Mail Service, for documents and merchandise, offered by postal operators of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). 

1) When will you provide me with my local Korean number ?  

You will know it when we shipped the packages to your staying address.

2) How much is it ?  

You will pay for value 20,000 KRW and sim card fee and international shipping fee separately as below. 

 

(1) Sim card fee

- Regular and Micro sim card fee is 5,500 KRW, 

- Nano sim Card fee is 9,900 KRW.  

 

(2) Countries available for international shipping and delivery charges, and required shipping days are as follows.

- Taiwan :  17,100 KRW, 2 ~  4 days

- Singapore : 16,800 KRW, 1 ~ 3 days

How do I use data service ?

As you can use both call and data with value 20,000 KRW(voice account balance) without extra payment, you have only to choose the data service option in the order application to use data service.  And then we will transfer data that you need to data account from voice account (Value 20,000 KRW) before your packages will be shipped.   

If you did not apply for data service, you can transfer data to data account from voice account (Value 20,000 KRW) by yourself via our apps or website.

For 30 days validity period, we offer 3 different data plan depending on the amount of data you need.

(1) 1GB is 16,500 KRW     (Olleh wi-fi is available, 30 day-Validity),    

(2) 500MB is 11,000 KRW  (Olleh wi-fi is available, 30 day-Validity), 

(3) 100MB is 5,500 KRW   (Olleh wi-fi is unavailable, 30 day-Validity)

Please note that 

· Data charges are non-refundable while using the data service,

· Data balance will not be carried forward next month,

· Data balance will not be added when you transfer data from your voice account while in use.

· If your voice credit has zero balance or data credit has zero balance, you can"t use data temporarily until you top up for voice or data.

After that you only need to pay the shipping fee 3,000KRW (local delivery) once time.
